  • The March of Progress

  • "If you're walking down the right path and you're willing to keep walking, eventually you'll make progress.." - Barack Obama

Meeting the expectations of clients has always been a challenge.

All those decades ago, the very first time we showed the clients an actual website that functioned on both Mac and PC, we finished the demo, and sat back looking pleased with our cleverness. "What do you think?", we enquired.

There was a pause, then they looked at each other before one spoke: "Visiting our page will give us their email address, right?"

Fast forward over 25 years and nothing much has changed in the client world; the bandwagon-jumpers, the new adopters, the cautious catcher-uppers, the reluctant upgraders, the dyed-in-the-wool refuseniks - the King has seen them all.

Having been in the web industry since 1997 (the King is older than he looks) I've seen a lot of different tech and approaches come and go, so am able to give you realistic advice about any business goals you might have for your website.

I have always tried to find affordable ways for my clients to maintain, develop and promote their site as efficiently as possible - there are plenty of people out there who simply want you to chuck money at the problem without getting results.

Advice is free, and any costs to implement would be based on time taken, on an hourly rate..

Business going in the right direction?
